Pet-resistant design
Ordinary mosquito mesh is not automatically cat mesh.
Standard insect screens are primarily intended to deter pests and may not be designed for scratching, pushing or contact from a cat. PurrSafe considers the mesh, frame, fit, closing system and complete installation together for suitable cat-accessible windows.

Does PurrSafe insect mesh keep mosquitoes out?
When fully closed, correctly fitted and in good condition, PurrSafe mesh helps deter mosquitoes, flies and other common insects at the protected opening. Insects can still enter through other open doors, windows or gaps elsewhere in the home.
Can insect mesh also help keep a cat inside?
PurrSafe uses a pet-resistant mesh system designed to serve both functions at suitable openings. Cat protection depends on the mesh, frame, fit, closing system and complete installation—not the mesh fabric alone.
Do I need a separate mosquito net?
A separate insect screen may not be necessary for a suitable opening covered by the fully closed PurrSafe system because the fitted mesh performs both roles. Final suitability is confirmed for the actual window and installation conditions.
Will window insect mesh reduce airflow or light?
The woven mesh allows air and daylight to pass through, although any screen can affect airflow to some degree. Ventilation, visibility and normal window use are considered during the recommendation.
